1. Site publisher

The ViaFerrata.tech website is published and operated by :

2. Use of information

The data available on ViaFerrata.tech (ratings, durations, equipment, opening periods) is provided for informational purposes and does not constitute an official guide. AVFS does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or up-to-date nature of the data presented.

3. Liability and safety

AVFS disclaims all liability for accidents, injuries or damage occurring during the practice of a via ferrata. The user agrees to:

  • Check weather conditions before any outing
  • Ensure they have adequate and approved equipment
  • Honestly assess their technical and physical level
  • Respect local regulations and signage
  • Inform a third party of their planned route

4. User accounts and comments

Access to certain features (comments, favourites) requires creating an account. By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information. AVFS reserves the right to suspend or delete any account without notice in case of inappropriate behaviour or violation of these terms.

Published comments are subject to moderation. The moderation team may modify, reject or delete a comment at any time. Comments must remain respectful and relevant to the via ferrata in question.

5. Intellectual property

All content on ViaFerrata.tech (texts, photos, data, code, design) is the property of AVFS - Association Via Ferrata Suisse, unless otherwise stated. Any reproduction or commercial use without prior written permission is prohibited. Cartographic data from swisstopo, OpenStreetMap and other sources are subject to their respective terms.

6. Donations to AVFS

Donations to AVFS can be made via Twint or Stripe. They are voluntary and non-refundable.

Donations contribute to the operating costs of the association: hosting, technical services, communication, organising events and promoting via ferrata in Switzerland. No particular advantage is granted in return for a donation.

AVFS is not (yet) recognised as a public benefit organisation. Donations are therefore currently not tax-deductible. An application for recognition is pending with the competent authorities.

7. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any dispute concerning the use of the website shall be submitted to the competent court of the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, where the association is headquartered.

8. Modifications

AVFS reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. The date of the last update is indicated at the top of this page. Changes take effect upon publication.
